Thanks For Being Here

Good morning all. Just signed up and want to thank you all for being here and for this site. Sometimes we need a meeting when there aren't any scheduled. Been dry for 244 days, but just got a sponsor and decided to get "Sober" last week. What a relief when I decided to give in and actually accept that I couldn't do this on my own. I am powerless over alcohol and my life has become unmanageable. And today, I'm ok accepting that.

Welcome Nifrav8r, so glad you found us!

Congrats on 8 months dry time, that is a big deal, sober or not.

Like Gail said, now that you have made the decision to surrender, the REAL journey begins.
"You will find freedom from cares and worries...."You will be able to look the world in the eye"".... And so many many other promises.

I bet you will find sobriety much easier working the steps.

Love,
Your friend Frannie
