I need to accept professional help to recover

From:Today I will do one thing

I was angry, ashamed, and frustrate about having to get treatment for my psychiatric illness. It meant i couldn't take care of myself. it meant my illnesses were serious. It meant loss of freedom.

And yet my symptoms were getting worse. With the two illnesses together, it seemed managing on my own was too much. Its true, treatment was tough to face, but now I can see that it was for the best. I didn't like being there, but I do want to stay stable and sober.
I will pray to accept my need for ongoing help

Good post ((((Jan)))). Sometimes we do need some extra help. God put doctors here to help us. It is up to us to take the benefit of it.

Alcoholism, drug addiction, and mental illness, are things we do not want to seek professional help for, because of the nature of their characteristics. The mind in itself can play those tricks on normal people, but to us who must not go without this help, the best we can do is get all the help we can, and tell the least amount of people necessary. Their truly is no shame in it, those who care will understand, those who don't can go to...
