New here relapsed after 11+ years

Hello my name is Michelle and I am an Addict.
This is my story...........
I got clean and sober from Meth (crank) and Alcohol my DOS was
2-4-95.
I recently have been having migraines which lead me to the
use of Norco (pain meds) for the migraines. Well, during this time my
addict took over and I started to abuse them by taking them when I
didn't have that bad of a migraine, taking them to feel better, wake
up, to feeling high, etc. Early sept. I started buying them from
an old friend who sells there Norco. Although the "this is not ok"
thoughts were there I still did it. I knew I needed to stop. So I
I stopped taking them on the 9th of October as planned. Well that is when the more SEVERE problem started.
About 9am on the 10th I came down with what I thought was the
terrible flu, Aching, chills, no energy, Violent sneezing. I felt so
bad. So that night I went and got more Norco so I could "function" It
wasn't until 2 days later that I realized I am physically addicted to
those Norco. I did all kinds of research on the internet and found out yep I was addicted physically to them Not only have I relapsed from 11+ years of recovery but I am physically addicted to these pills too.

With a hectic life raising 3 kids alone, full time career and my kids
in activates. I planed a detox plan and final "jump" Thanksgiving is my last day. I have taken Monday and Tuesday off of
the following week to get through this.

Anyway, there is so much more to the story. Anyone have any thoughts
suggestions, anything PLEASE email me.
I am scared. I am sad. I am afraid to feel the W/D they were so
terrible and I am just scared. I am mad, etc.
I appreciate any and all input you might have
I have done this before but on a much different level. With Crank and Alcohol.

I am scared It won't be so easy to quit . I have read online all the vitamins and suppliments to take to help with the W/D and I have got them all.
I started taking them monday 11-13-06.

Does anyone know How long and how bad the W/D going to be?
I have tapered to 2.5 - 3 pills of 10 mgs a day.
how long after my last pill will I start to feel it?

please pray for me to have a fast recovery and to remove my obsession to use and all denial I have around this

Thank you all so much in advance for your help

Hi Michelle, welcome to cyberrecovery. I don't know anything about that particular drug, but I am familiar with addiction. My dos is 08/20/1987. This is a serious disease as you've just reminded me. I will be praying for you. I admire your desire to do the right thing for you and your kids. Bottom line, as you know you've got to do it for you, but those kids will benefit from having a mom that is clean and available. I wonder if you got clean in NA or on your own? Getting some face to face support is probably a good idea. If you could go to a meeting or two before you plan on withdrawing and get some women's phone numbers. Come here as often as you can. Glad you are here.

Hi Michelle
I abused rx drugs and cocaine before I got sober. My withdrawal from drugs was hardly a blip on the radar compared to my withdrawal from alcohol. Pray to have the obsession to use drugs removed and get to meetings. You don't have to do this alone. Good luck with your recovery. Take it one day at a time.
