What is Our Primary Purpose?

What is Our Primary Purpose?

I keep hearing some people saying, that it is important to come
to our meetings and dump.

I am a believer that it is important to talk about where you are
and what you are going through, for that is the only way that we
can help you.

But our primary purpose is not to dump, our primary purpose is to
carry the message to the still sick and suffering.

You see meetings are only 1 hour and a half where I come from,
and if you look at it like this.

If I come into a meeting a dump a glass filled with dirty water,
when I come out of the meeting and live the other 22 and a half hours
outside of the meeting, it is only going to fill back up with dirty water
unless if I do things differently.

Yes, I am a believer in the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts,
but there are many more than 36 Spiritual Principles let's not sell
OUR God short here

If I look at these spiritual principles as solid rocks and I start to
practice them in my life and putting them into this empty glass.
Then I am filling the glass with solid rocks like:

Acceptance, Hope, Faith, Honesty, Open-mindedness, Willingness,
Courage Trust, Humility, Forgiveness, Unconditional Love, Perseverance,
Integrity, Spirituality, Service, Loyalty, Respect, Admiration,
Compassion, Tenderness, Unity, Sharing, Simplicity, Independence,
Selflessness, Survival, Self- Reliance, Responsibility, Participation,
Balance, Consistency, Clarity, Vision, Communication, Harmony,
Gratitude, Joy, Surrender, Purpose, Freedom, Spontaneity, Abundance,
Brotherhood, Humor, Patience, Beauty, Healing, Flexibility, Truth,
Delight, Peace and Serenity are just a few that come to mind , LOL

The more that we fill up this empty glass with these solid rock
spiritual principles, the less room there is for dirty water.

It's not about " Dumping" it is about sharing what you are going through.
But its not until you stop sharing about the problem and start to
live in the solution that you will get to reap the benefits of working
"The Program"
