Thumbs up THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR

THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR
I tried to spend some time today counting all the things that I have to be thankful for, but I soon had to give up. There were just too many. I could not count them all even if I spent the rest of my life doing so. God loves us so much and showers us with so many blessings that it is impossible to number them. I ended up just saying, "Thank You God for my Life!"
I do, however, want to mention here just a few of the little things that I thought about today. Perhaps you are thankful for some of these same things yourself. Watching a bird fly across the sky while the sun goes down. The way the snow brightens the world on a cold winter’s day. A cat sleeping peacefully on your lap. A dog who wants nothing more than to spend time with you. A family who gives you love and joy everyday of your life. Friends who touch your heart and warm your soul with their kindness. A hot cup of coffee and cold glass of orange juice in the morning. Delicious meals to eat. A warm bed to sleep in. A house that becomes a home from the love inside of it. Music that makes the heart sing, the eyes tear, and the spirit soar. Books full of words and ideas that not only enlighten the mind, but also touch the heart and uplift the soul. Trees, flowers, and animals that remind us daily that this is a beautiful world and that we should treat it with care. Fireflies sharing their light. Butterflies sharing their delight. Angels sharing their love. Laughter, smiles, singing, dancing, running, playing, and everything that brings us closer to joy. God’s love all around us. God’s love within us. God’s love living through us. The miracle of life itself with all of its wonder, growth, and awe. The ability to choose love, the ability to share joy, and the ability to be who God made us to be.
May all of your days be full of blessings. May all of your days be full of happiness. May all of your days be full of thanks for all that we are given. --Joseph J. Mazzella
